The short version

I don't sell your information. I don't share it with advertisers. When you contact me, your information is used only to help you with your tech issue—that's it.

What I collect and why

When you contact me

If you send me a message or call, I'll have:

  • Your name (so I know who I'm talking to)
  • Your email or phone (so I can respond)
  • Whatever you tell me about your tech issue

I use this information to help you, follow up on your issue, and keep records of the work I've done for you. That's all.

When you visit the website

Like most websites, this site may collect some basic information automatically:

  • What pages you visited
  • How long you stayed
  • What device and browser you used

This helps me understand if the website is working well and what people find useful. I don't use this to identify you personally.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that websites store on your device to remember things. This site uses minimal cookies—mainly to remember if you've already seen the cookie notice (yes, the irony).

You can block cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. The site will still work fine.

Who I share your information with

Nobody, unless it's necessary to help you. For example, if I need to contact a manufacturer on your behalf, I might share relevant details about your issue. But I won't sell your information or share it with marketers.

Your rights

You can always:

  • Ask me what information I have about you
  • Ask me to correct something that's wrong
  • Ask me to delete your information
  • Tell me to stop contacting you

Just email me at josh@mygeekmac.com or call (951) 468-5674.

Security

I take reasonable precautions to keep your information secure. But no system is perfectly secure, and I can't make guarantees. If you're ever concerned about sharing something sensitive, let me know and we can figure out a safer way to handle it.

Links to other sites

If this site links to other websites, I'm not responsible for their privacy practices. Check their policies if you're concerned.

Changes to this policy

If I make significant changes to how I handle your information, I'll update this page. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last changed.
